5''-12'' Purgers Flanged Connections

5"-12" Purgers Flanged Connections

 (5)
PURGING DEVICES FOR HOT WATER HEATING SYSTEMS The water that is used initially to fill a hot water heating system contains dissolved air. Make-up water subsequently added will similarly have a high air content. Heating this water releases the air and permits it to be circulated in the systems, from which it must be vented. The purpose of the Air Purgers is to continuously separate and collect any air from the water as it circulates so that it may be vented automatically by a float air vent without the necessity for frequent manual venting. All models have tappings for installation of float air vents to provide complete purging and venting. Space tappings are also provided for easy mounting of an expansion control or fill valve ...

Model 706 Automatic Air Vent

Model 706 Automatic Air Vent

Operation The automatic #706 Air Vent has been designed for use on any hydronic or water service system where pressure does not exceed 150 PSIG and the temperature is no greater than 240 degrees F. The #706 Air Vent should be installed in an accessible location at the high points of the system.

Installation In a hydronic heating system, air removal can be accomplished most efficiently by installing a #706 Air Vent with a properly sized Air Purger or Air Separator. The purger separates the air from the water and diverts it to the Air Vent for quick and automatic removal. A 3/4" NPT tapping is provided on the Air Vent for this connection.

Maintenance Since any vent may occasionally require ...

Model 720 Automatic Air Eliminator

Model 720 Automatic Air Eliminator

The 720 Air Eliminator has been designed to eliminate air as fast as it can be separated. Use on any hydronic or water service system where pressure does not exceed 150 PSIG and the temperature is no greater than 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Its design lends to maintenance free operation due to the self-cleaning mechanism. The 720 Air Eliminator will not open if negative pressure occurs so air cannot be drawn back into the system should a vacuum situation occur.

Model 721 Automatic Air Eliminator(3)

Model 721 Automatic Air Eliminator

One size Air Eliminator handles all size jobs. The 721 Air Eliminator combines both air separation and elimination into one economical, easily installed, compact unit. The 721 obsoletes the installation of large separators (up to 10” and 12” pipe sizes) and is ideal for HVAC installations on upper finished runs and pump by-pass applications. It combines a 1” vortex air separator and 720 Air Eliminator Vent mechanism. This prevents air from entering the system in vacuum conditions. Compact size allows installation at the top of a system in finished space or ceiling crawl spaces. The 721 can also provide air elimination when piped across the differential of large capacity pumps.
